How do i get rid of rosetta?

I read that my installing rosetta could be the cause of my kernel_task consuming so much memory--

How and should I ditch it?

1. Rosetta is only used by programs that require it. So getting rid of Rosetta would stop whatever programs you are using that use it to stop working.

2. You can't ditch it anyway (short of reinstalling your system).

Solution: identify the programs that are using Rosetta, and upgrade them.
