replacing Icons

sorry, new to this forum so I hope im posting in the correct spot.
anywhoo...recently got new iMac and am updating all my dock icons to more aesthetically pleasing (dark) ones.

having probs with replacing some though (ie: itunes, "grab", system preferences, etc...). WoW, ventrilo, firefox all works were all simple (copy new icon, "get info", paste over old icon...done.

any suggestions (without purchasing 3rd party apps)? thank you!

Just buy Candybar and save a WHOLE lot of headache.

I prefer to eat candy bars and leave the icons alone. They work for me, and I don't need the hassle I've seen in threads like this one.

referring to torrents or something i am not aware of promotional-wise?

and i agree...ugh, im so cheap but its worth it to have it work properly lol.

I meant the cost of Candybar becomes virtually free if your time spent doing other things with your life. Fussing with copying and pasting new icons will "cost" more than buying CandyBar.
