G4 tower: what's that pull switch do on the back?

does it remove the hard drive caddy? I had a G4 for a short time, and i think it allows for the removal of something on the inside. orrr.....If you pull it and sticka lock through it you cant open the side of the computer anymore.... Yeah, i think the second is what it does.

I always knew it was for a security lock but never saw that lock in the URL. Thanks for that.

How I figured it out was to pull the thing while the case was open and watch what it did. Locked the case from opening.

I can't understand what you (above) guys are on about :eek: - I was always under the impression that the pull switch started a little motor inside that kept the G4 running when the mains power was down. We live and learn! :Evil:

Mine has a little motor inside that'll make it move around the floor like R2-D2 when I pull that thing. Maybe if I upgrade it to Tiger it'll be the everlasting power supply...
