Boot Camp vs. Parallels Desktop vs. VMware Fusion vs. VirtualBox

Boot Camp is made by Apple, so I doubt that there's any risk in using that.

However, if you want to run both Windows and Mac at the same time, you'll want to get a virtual machine (VM) application, such as Parallels or VMware Fusion. However, Parallels and VMware Fusion cost about $80 for one copy. I use VirtualBox, which is made by Sun.
