The entire bottom toolbar has disappeared...........it only comes back when I hover the pointer over it......I have NO IDEA how this happened, LOL!!!!

Go into system preferences and click on the Dock icon. Make sure there is no check mark next to Automatically hide and show the Dock.

That works. or you just right click on it and go to disable autohide.
