help with copying files

i am a new mac user (1 day!)

above average pc user

im struggling to connect my 2 machines (mac/pc) via firewire.

I have no problem connecting via wi fi and all shareing settings are set ok.

Was hoping someone could help out as i have a lot of data to move and via fire wire would obviousky be much better!!

I believe your answer will be under "Sharing files between a Mac laptop and a PC connected with a crossover cable," although you do not need an actual crossover cable (ethernet or firewire) to do this-- the regular, straight-through kind will work.
