My formula bar has become "unattached" from the workbook window. That is, it used to be embedded in the top of the window like the toolbars.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the formula bar back where I want it.

Any help?

Thanks!

If you managed that, you must have used some kind of hack. If so, please share it with us.

There is normally no way to attach the formula bar to the document window in Excel 2008, or any previous version on the Mac.

This wasn't so much of a problem in 2004 or earlier, but Excel 2008 has such huge toolbars that it's a pretty big trip. The closest you can get is to hide the window toolbar and drag the formula bar below any other docked toolbars you have open.

If it works, don't break it.

Does it really matter that much to you?

OK, thanks - my memory of it being attached must be faulty.

Does it really matter? Well, I'm an accountant, so am anal about the way my spreadsheets work!

You mean about the way they look! The formula bar still works! :)
