Powermac question

Would it be possible to put a processor from a machine such as a mdd and put it in a sawtooth to make the sawtooth faster

Probably not (I don't know actually), but you can upgrade the CPU in the Sawtooth for about $300. Google Mac CPU upgrades, you'll find some good stuff.

No it will not. The Sawtooth will take up to a DP500Mhz CPU from a Gigabit Ethernet, which is the last of the 100MHz system bus speed models. The only other option is a CPU upgrade such as aMercury Extreme or Powerlogix etc from OWC and the upgrade is not worth the money bearing in mind faster G5 machines.
