running linux mac and windows

ok i have a mac book pro which has leopard installed on it i created a partition for windows 7 and i was wondering how to create a partition for ubuntu so when i hold down alt i can choose between windows mac and ubuntu and another thing i am trying to run ubuntu from a flash drive just wondering what i needed to be able to install it from a usb flash drive meaning files and also installed a program called refit now i have a bunch of small partition on mac called linux swap which i can't delete from disk utilities just hoping there is a way i could fix this

Easiest would be to install VirtualBox (free from Sun) or buy Parallels or Fusion and install Ubuntu as a virtual machine. Runs great, takes up almost no memory.
