Question:

I've already upgraded my CPU from the 400Mhz Sawtooth to a 1Ghz Sonnet Encore. (Memory now at 1.28 Gig)

Would I see much of a boost if I upgraded again to the new 1.7 Ghz Sonnet?

Or would a duel processor work better?

I'm switching most of my PC based operations to the Mac and leaving the PC and the Gaming Rig. I dabble in Web design, photoshop and stuff, so what would be best for a joe blow like me?

Not all of the sawtooths (sawteeth?) have dual proc. capable motherboards. Gigadesigns has a utility that tells you if yours is or not. Once you have determined if DP is even an option it gets a little stickier. A lot of apps don't benefit much from DP and DP upgrades are really expensive. Also something to keep in mind: The newest fastest G4 upgrades (i.e. 1.6+) have no L3 cache. L3 cache helps alot b/c sawtooths have a relatively slow memory bus.

In otherwords, I have no idea what you should do, but I started typing before I realized this.

Good Luck
