Wireless not working

Hi.

My wireless isnt working on my Mac. It detects the wireless and allows me to enter the password for my network but I can't surf the web.

My PC was having the same problem but I downloaded a fix for it for Vista.

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers

That's it.

Is there something similar for macs?

Any help would be really appreciated!!!

if you have a cable modem feeding the router (wireless box), you may have to reboot that. unplug it and wait a couple of minutes and plug it back in, see if that helps.
