Very few come with mac drivers, but most will happily work if you install Macam.

Check your choice against the LONG list before buying it.
They are not all standard. Cheap ones are not as good as expensive ones, but you have to decide if you really need an expensive web cam. My experience is that expensive one work better as the light level drops, and you might get a faster frame rate. Do you need this?
Fore general Skype type chats, a cheap one will be adequate.
