1 iTunes library, 2 users

Please can someone tell me how to share my iTunes library between 2 users on one mac. I have read many articles, including the official apple website, on this and none of them have offered the correct solution....it just doesn't work!!

I'm putting my itunes folder into my public folder, everything is set to share, all privileges are correct, there is nothing that I can see that is going wrong.

This should be so so simple but I've spent over an hour on it already and I'm tearing my hair out.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I've followed this one and it doesn't work. Nothing appears in the 2nd users public folder.
