Airport Extreme Question

I just got an Airport Extreme with an external HD attached. My question is can I access the HD remotely without a Mobile Me account?

which HD the Ext or the computer one.
Have a look at Logmein for remote access it gives lots of flexibility with good security.

You do not give the specs of the Mac but if you are connecting to the Mac remotely while HD is mounted then u should be OK. Depending on what you plan on doing and which OS u have, then Back to my Mac and Team Viewer are possibilities.

I have a macbook pro and an external HD connected to my AE. I would like to be able to access my external HD while at work or traveling without a mobile me account.

That will only work if your HD is plugged into another computer and turned on and other computer on line. Then you could use Logmein to get to that computer and the HD connected to it. Very much doubt if you can access just the Extreme and HD without a computer in the mix. Anyone?
