How do I uninstall programs from OSX 10.6.2?

Drag the application to the trash can and empty the trash can.

It's crazy that it can be that easy! ;D

Mac mini (late 09) 2.26, 2 gb, 160, 1 tb hitachi 7200 ext hdd. Macbook 2.26, 4 gb, 360 hdd 3G Iphone
Get a program like appcleaner (AppCleaner) and use that it removes all files associated with the app. btw it is a free program.

+1 for Appcleaner, but look at Apptrap as well. its sits in the preferences and is out of site and un obtrusive. Works the same as Appcleaner.

But 1st if the App you want to uninstall HAS a uninstaller, it is recommended to use it, than just trashing or using won of the cleaner Apps ....

As Tattooed suggests do the following.

Option 1. Use the uninstaller that came with the program as the first and best choice.

Option 2. Use AppTrap or a similar utility as it is NOT always that simple.

AppCleaner words the best for 10.6.2. You just drag the files you don't need into the program and it deletes not only the program but all the files that came with it.
