Textedit autosave issues

Recently, when I've been typing up notes in text edit, I get a message saying textedit can't autosave because I don't have wright privileges to the folder I'm it's trying to autosave to. I do. Anyone have any thoughts? I can't link this to any changes I've made.. It's just started occurring randomly.

I should try a fix permissions I guess.. but anyone have any other ideas?

No other ideas. Repair Permissions is the answer. I'm assuming that the User you're using does have read/write permission for the folder in question.
