Remote access for old macs

Hi,

I''m trying to figure out a simple but safe way to access another mac (imacG3) running OS9.2 in another business from my office computer (G5 running OS 10.4). These computers are geographically miles from each other. Because of how the G3 mac is being used, updating the OS is not an option. I know there must be a way to do this but I haven't done a lot of networking so I'm not sure how to proceed. Any help would be appreciated.
