Problems with file access privliges

in my applications folder, im unable to access any of the files due to "sufficient access privileges" i have no idea, how or why this happened, any help to enable me to access my applications again, would be great, thanks

Sounds like you need to run Repair Permissions. You can use Utilitites/Disk Utility if you can get to it, or download Onyx and run it off your Desktop.
