new hard drive problems

I don't know where to start but I had to have the hard drive replaced in my Macbook with 10.5. They said the data transfer was complete and I have it back but my icons at the bottom for Swift Publisher, HP Photosmart, HP Device Manager and Camera are now just big Question marks. I went to my hard drive and tried to open Swift Publisher but it asked me install so I did but every time i try to open it now it just keeps asking me to install.
Q: How to get my icons back and why can't i open swift publisher.

So I did figure out the install and how to open Swift Publisher but still can't figure out how to get the icons back to the tool bar instead of the question marks.

Drag the question marks off the toolbar (it's called the Dock BTW), go to the Applications folder and drag the Publisher app to the dock.
This puts an alias of the app on the dock.
Pay no attention to the little puffs of smoke and the poof Eye candy.
