Would be nice if my copy of panther arrived in the mail already. I dunno the delivery date per se, but I did do a preorder like a week or week and a half ago.

Well i just finished my clean install of panther. My apple store was absolutely packed with people trying to get in.

one thing that really pissed me off is that there is no student discounts in the store on software so i had to pay the full cost

Ya, that's one thing I just don't get. You can only get the educational discount online, and even if u were to order online, and pay for it, you couldn't go into the store with like a voucher saying, hey i bought this now give me my item.

I really wanted to buy FCP4 tonight, but gosh, I think I'm going to not pay 1,000 dollars for it in the store, when I can get for 500 online. Bastages.

'Panther Tips & Tricks' eBook released
October 27, 2003 - 09:59 EST MacLifestyle today announced the release of "Panther Tips & Tricks," a fully illustrated electronic book (eBook) that shows you how to get the most out of Mac OS X 10.3 Panther. According to the company, the US$5.95 eBook is targeted at average Mac users and not pros. The new eBook has color screenshots and is published in PDF format. MacLifestyle said that it will offer customers free updates to the eBook and said it will be adding new tips as they are discovered in Mac OS X 10.3.

My Comments: I guess this is the book that those that went to the night of the Panther event got for free? pretty good tricks in that book those that got it?
