Macbook Logic Board?

Hi

When i press the power button sometimes i just get the grey screen. Other times it will take me all the way to the desktop but eventually freezes. I took the hard drive out and put it in an external usb case and the computer worked perfectly. Does this sound like a Logic Board problem?

I'm not really sure, but it could certainly be a hard drive problem. Have you tried resetting your CMOS battery?
