I wrote an excel macro for PC to auto close the active workbook. Some friends used it on their Macs. Their macs froze. they rebooted but all they got was a blank screen. Can this happen with this type of macro?

Nothing to do with the MacWorld Expo. Moving appropriately.

As to your question - what version of Mac:Office are your friends using? If it's 2008, be aware that Microsoft dropped support for VB macros in that version.

And even Office 2004 for Mac only supports VBA that will run on Office 97 on the Windows side.
