Skype

Hello
I'm running SL 10.6.2 on a MacBook 2ghz, 2gig ram
after the up grade from leopard, 10.5.8
I now do not have voice calling in Skype, I can still
"chat", and I did not try video.
Does anyone know if this has been a problem

Had exact same problem and my solution was to downgrade to v 2.7

My Thread if you want a little reading. But in short there is a bug with the latest Skype and SL.
Now i have gone back a few versions i havnt had a problem.

hey guys, I have the 2.8.0.722 version and working fine.... do you both have the 10.6.2 combo installed?

I take that back.... I've not tried voice, but had no problem with chat or video with voice!
Derrrrrrrr...... Perhaps I should be reading the threads a little more carefully, or not respond once beer number 4 is almost finished LOL

Yes, I installed SL .6 on Sat, and did the combined install
on Sunday morning...
when I click to call, the call window opens, but then just closes.
when my gf trys it, the call window will open, but no voice..
I'm going to try the 2.7
any other suggestions?

OK, so i'm stupid, hahaha
I am chatting with gf, my problem was in the audio
setting of skype....it had set itself to bluetooth...sorry guys
she is on SL 6.2 and same ver skype....so I had to figure mine
should work...

Thanks for posting back a solution. Might have to upgrade and have a look at it. But for two weeks troubleshooting i couldnt get it to work
