ive opened my mac several times now, not once have i seen/heard a PSU!

what i wonder is, theres those mods to add all kindsa hard drives, all of which using a Y adaptor for the sata power. ive seen mods for 4-10 drives! how can 1 psu power this???

I ask, because now i have the stock sata, a superdrive, an IDE 120gb drive, and im thinking of adding a neon to the front. Cmon how cool would that look?

so just wondering, would the PSU have any problems? i recall having an issue where if the neon would blink, the fans would get weaker (just for a second)

thanks in advance.

the power supply in the powermacs are 600 watts, i believe. im sure that would be enough to add one neon fan to your case, but i wouldnt stretch it because the dual g5's really need the power.

yea that makes me wonder how these nuts add all these hard drives..

i just took my neon apart and found out it steps the voltage up to 400v-1200v ac, and that one of my lovely wires is stripped...GREAT!
