Help? Screen Problems

When I open my computer, the screen is at its normal brightness for about 30 seconds. Then, it turns to a darkness where I can hardly see anything on the screen. Does anyone know what this means or how to fix it?

Sounds like the ambient light sensor is adjusting the brightness for you. If you don't like the feature, you can disable it in Apple menu => System Preferences => Display => Display tab => Uncheck "Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes".
