All of sudden my cap lock light is not lighting up when I lock the Caps. Is there something that I have done or did it just burn out. My Mac is three months old and the light just stopped working. Anyone have any ideas what caused it or is the light just burned out? Thanks

I found an application that lets you know when Caps is on. It's called:

Apple - Downloads - System/Disk Utilities - CapSee

And your Mac specs are wrong. 10.1 is the very beginning. Snow Leopard is 10.6.
4 GB RAM, with 1 GHZ front-side bus. Not bad for an iMac.

Even better.

On my MS keyboard there is no light at all for the caps lock, so I only know its on after its too late, usually after typing a whole sentence in CAPS.

So I disable it.

Go to System preferences and Keyboard and Mouse

On the Keyboard tab there is a button called Modifier keys

On the Caps Lock option select No action

No more CAPS LOCK (oops!)

Changed the batteries, cured the problem. The caps lock light is back on.

Weird - the same thing happened on our 'ultra-compact' keyboard on our recently bought iMac. Took the batteries out and put them back - still not working. Switched the keyboard off and on - sorted. Weird.
