Auto-correct has disappeared?

Once upon a time, whilst typing, a red line would point out to me when I made typos. It is gone now ... does anyone know how I can get it back? It is sorely missed.

I had to look up this 'Language & Text' tab you are speaking of. It appears I do not have this. I still have the 'International' tab. The text option does not exist. I had auto-correct without this new bit offered in 10.6.
