MSN 7 Update - Where to put it?

I installed Office 2004 with the MSN. MS tells me there's an update to MSN so I download it. It unpacks, runs, but there's a drive icon for the new MSN on my desktop. If I trash it the update goes away. I thought the update installed and I could get rid of the rest. Not so apparently.

My question is what should I do with this drive icon? I'm coming from a Windows environment so I'm a little confused about the procedure with a Mac.

the drive icon is a disk image. open it up and drag and drop the icon into the applications folder. when you are done you can delete the disk image
