hi all,

I'm trying to set up a VPN connection to my work but am having issues connecting properly. I can connect to the network via VPN, but I cannot ping any of the servers. I'm running a macbook pro with 10.6.2 and macbook at 10.5.8. It is a PPTP connection, no authentication just a user name and password. Using the same information I can connect just fine from my home using a Vista machine. I have tried changing the DNS settings to make sure they are accurate, and tried with the "send all traffic switch" on and off. no luck. The network is running windows server 2003. Any advice on what steps to take from here?

I'd contact your network admin for issues. Most servers are on private IPs.

Are you really running OSX Version 10.0.2? You need to upgrade to Jaguar.

⌘+K to Connect to Server, then "smb://server_name/". Sometimes you'd use the IP rather than the DNS but it should work.
