Airport card question

I have an old Imac graphite g3 dv and I recently put an Airport card and adapter in it. It came up okay and I open Airport setup. The setup scanned and found my wireless network. Since my network is password protected it asked for the password, but when I entered the password the setup said it was incorrect. I tried it a couple of times with no luck. So I was wandering, do I have to have a mac wireless router or do I need to reset my network or what?

No you don't need a Mac wireless router. If the password you're entering is not accepted...possibly the password is not correct.

Are you able to successfully log onto your network from another computer using the same password?

Did a G3 recently and in the update process came across one for airport - might be worth checking if your G3 wants to install that one.
