When I open iCal, it opens, but the calendar will not display. In other words, the iCal icon is in my dock, with the black triangle under it and when you click on it, the toolbar at the top of the screen changes over to iCal allowing me to access preferences, view options, etc. Regardless, the darn calendar won't display, making iCal useless. Am I overlooking something really stupid?

I have already restarted my computer, and not fix. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

U could try downloading and installing this which is for Intel units. See if that sorts things out.

Maybe stupid, but have you tried to go to the window dropdown and see if you can select something that is open, or file > New window, if such an option exists?

My computer is up to date and there aren't any options such as "New Window." It's just so odd how the application can be open and running, but I can't see the darn calendar. The only information I could find when googling about this is numerous people who have problems with iCal crashing, but that isn't the case for me. The darn thing just won't display.

Try Repair Permissions

Then try downloading and re-installing the combo update linked by Collin.

Then create a new user account - log into that one and let us know if it works there or not.

The window may be off the screen or resized oddly. Try Window > Zoom
