mac to pc network connection problem

If you go to the search box on the vista start menu and type firewall you'll see 2 shortcuts to the firewall. One standard and one advanced, start the advanced one.

Once started you should see a link to firewall logs

I think I have found it
Control panel and admin tools?
I can' work out which is for the mac???

I can't get it to work - Infact I now can't see the mac on the vista machine -it's getting worse!
