Compressing/zipping files

I am making a pretty big zipped/compressed file out of other files. It got to the end, but it seems "stuck" at the very end. The progress bar is there, but it says it has all of the megabytes, but it is just not moving. Is this normal?

I have not run into that issue, but then, I don't use the built in compression utility. Instead, I highly recommend BetterZip.

Ok thanks. Anyone who use the Mac stock program have this problem? It is a really large file (the Archive alone is 2 GB), but I do not think that should effect it.
