Hello all....

I have a Powerbook G4. While recently browsing via Firefox a pop up window requested I update my Adobe Flash Player to #9. I've seen this kind of update in past years so proceeded to the download via Adobe's site. I actioned the download icon, which prompted the download as expected. However........once the download completed new Firefox pages began popping up. I'm talking 1 new Fifefox page per second and each time this popped a new .dmg file to my desktop? The only way I could stop this was to Quit the Firefox session. I then had over 50 different .dmg files on my desktop to move to trash! ....ughhhh!

So I decided to uninstall Adobe Flash and try again via the same process. I went to a website that requires Flash, which prompted me to the Adobe site to download Flash Player 9 again. The exact same thing happened!

Does anyone know how I can deal with this? I'm scoped out the forums but been unalbe to loacte this issue......

Please help....anyone!

Thanks :)

Welcome to Mac Forums!

Use a different browser to download the Adobe Flash file. As a suggestion, Camino is simple and fast, and behaves very much like FFox - without the frantic page display I hope! Otherwise, try Safari.
