Hi all i just recently registered here after finally owning my own mac, its nothing amazing but its a g5 2.5 quad... i got a question for you guys and gals..... i brought the g5 from ebay (eeek!) it was advertised as a dual core but its actually a quad, the one cpu has frazzled so he has removed it hence why its now dual, anyway can i get a replacement to make it quad again, and if so where from ? i have tried google with pretty much no luck. any comments welcome.

Thanks

you can buy the quad, but stock is $1600/$1250 exchange (for late 2005 G5).

Unless you can find a dead G5 for cheap with processors intact. :(

And if you check out threads originated by baggss you will see the machine is liquid cooled with a tremendous amount of work changing the processors. Not worth it so use as is. Maybe that is why it was so cheap?
