My hard drive was dying, so Apple replaced it. Before giving it to them, I saved the hard drive as a sparseimage. When I got the machine back, I reinstalled Snow Leopard, and now I am trying to restore the sparseimage. I open with the installer disc and go to disc utility, and then I mount the sparse image by clicking File-->Open Disc Image.
However, I cannot select the disc image that shows, the one that is below the grey line on the left side of the screen, as the source. Any ideas on how I can make it the source or some other way I can restore all the old data to my new HD?
thanks!
