is there any way I can set a default partition to start?
If I just press the power switch on my macbook I get windows , I have to hold down the option key to get a choice.
I would prefer it the other way round

Your Mac's Specs
2.8 GHz 15" MacBook Pro OS X 10.7.x & some old Macs
You have to go into Mac's System Preferences -> Startup Disk -> and then select Mac OS X as your startup. Windows likes to takeover once it's on your computer. ;)
