Just got my new Mac, switching from PC. Am looking for a flash drive that can be password protected. Have checked items at Best Buy and none have a password protection that works with Mac OS X Version 10.6.2. Anyone know of a flash drive available?

Welcome to the Forum. Get any unit and then password protect the file u put on it by using Disk Utility which is already on your Mac in Applications/Utility folder. If the Flash drive cannot be read then get a mate to reformat it without PC style password protection then redo the format <erasing > in the Mac depending whether it has to be read in a PC or not.
It is covered here in SCO 165 but it is a pay for video;

Thanks for the info. But, can anyone take me through a step by step "how to" to use the Disk Utility feature on my Mac to password protect a flash drive?

Also, once I do use the Disk Utility, will this password protection work on my PC at work?
