Joining table cells in Freeway

I have a simple problem joining (merging) table cells.

I have created a table 8 columns x 3 rows. How do I join/merge the middle 4 cells on row 2. I cannot select those cells.
The only cells I can select are the full row by clicking the edge of the row until a small arrow appears.
