Upgraded Ram!

I went to an Apple store today and upgraded my Macbook RAM to 4GB yay! I installed it myself.

Good for you ! Mind my asking what you paid for ram from Apple ?

I paid $160 for the 4GB kit. On their website it is $200, so it was alright. I could have ordered it cheaper from Crucial, but this way I got it today haha. So, if I click on the Apple then About This Mac, and it says 4GB now, that means it worked fine and recognizes it yes? Stupid question, but just want to make sure.

Yep, that's right.

You could also go to System Profiler (click the more info... button on About this Mac) and look under Memory it will be there under slot 1, 2, etc

YIKES! F paying that amount for RAM, ever. I mean, my 4GB ram upgrade from OWC crapped the bed after 13 days, but that is a fluke. It's still worth it (waiting for my dad to get around to having them send new sticks since he bought the RAM for me for christmas, I need him to do the warranty stuff. Urgh. I might call owc and see if they'll just send it to me if i send them back their nonfunctioning sticks.

well ram prices have gone up thats for sure. I paid 66 bucks for my 4 gig kit from crucial in may !
