How do i Activate/get stacks?

Hey Everyone,

I have no idea how to get/activate stacks. I don't even know if i already have it on my laptop. Can anyone help?

And if there are only Applications in your Dock, you'll first need to drag a folder to the right end of the Dock (just to the left of the Trash) before you can do what Collin mentioned.

I have my dock on the left side. It is set to stack, and doesn't. Does it not work when it's on the side like that? I know it doesn't stack over 6 documents, but I'd only have 3 and it still doesn't stack. :( What gives?

You are talking about the way it acts when you click on it now, which is the 'View Content as:' - 'Fan' option. No, that option is not available with the Dock positioned on the side of the screen, only at the bottom. With the dock on the side, your only options are List and Grid.

I too was wondering how to activate stacks. I have snow leopard and tried the control key but see no option. Is there a different way for snow leopard?

Got this by right clicking on the icon in the dock. Control/Click on a single button mouse.
