have a G5 Imac. Airport can only seem to pick up one bar of the wireless signal which apparently won't let me do anything. I was talking to my landlord and he said a previous tenant with the same model had the same problem and downloaded a program or something? I've used my wireless before with a different router though and it worked fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Well, your G5 probably has b or g WiFi, in it. If your apartment house router is broadcasting n wireless, you're missing out. The signal strength and reach of an n router is much greater. But both ends, you and the router, have to be running n for you to get that advantage. You could try getting an n wireless card for your Mac and see if that doesn't help. But check first to make sure that the apartment router is an n router.
