iCal sync to Palm Pixi

So....don't really know if this is in the exact section of the MF, but here we go. My girlfriend has a new Macbook Pro Unibody, just bought a palm pixi and it supports syncing with iCal on her macbook. It syncs fine, the problem is that every time you plug it in (which she does almost every day to update her schedule) it duplicates her schedule and re-enters it into her Pixi (there are about 7 different events per actual event right now). Could this be fixed via some preferences in iCal? Or is this something to do with the pixi? If so does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Adrian
