Excel 2008 For Mac

Excel 2008 is not working, geeting error message with a window, where it is written Excel encountered a problem, need to close, but it is not working even after performing this step.

Please Help

Your Mac's Specs
Mac Mini (Late 2014) 2.6GHz Intel Core i5 Memory: 8GB 1600MHz DDR3
Try putting the com.microsoft.excel.prefs.plist file on your Desktop before staring up Excel. (You may find the "prefs" part of that filename missing. I have both names!)

The file should be in Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences and/or Users/YourUserName/Library/Microsoft/Preferences (One of the files is in each location on my system - using OS 10.5.8)

If Excel's behavior goes back to normal, then you can Trash the file(s) on your Desktop.
