Hey!

I've had my MacBook Pro for a few months now, and It's used every day sometimes for long periods of times, and sometimes for DJing use.

What i'm noticing is the bottom is getting VERY hot, too hot to touch. I ensure that when i'm using it, it is on a hard surface and not on my knee or anything like that to make sure there is air circulation but this doesn't seem to help.

Any ideas?

That's normal especially if you're loading down the CPU doing DJ work. What I suggest you might try to enhance cooling, is to use a notebook stand. Any good notebook stand will help as it allows air to flow more freely beneath your machine. It also gives you protection against accidental spills.

I personally use a Griffin Elevator for mine.

Regards.
