iphoto:temporary items

so when i want to import an image into iphoto via internet i drag it iphoto to be imported and it is imported as a temporary item and as i import more photos via internet it asks me if i want to import previous imported photos.
how do i stop this?

Two things:

1. You're aware, of course, that most photos are the internet are of very low resolution, because a screen only needs to be 72dpi, right? So most of the photos you get off the internet will look terrible. If you already know this or it doesn't apply to what you're getting, then move on to point #2

2. I've always found that downloading a photo to the desktop first, then dragging it into iPhoto, seems to work smoothly, even in batches. Once the photo has been copied into iPhoto, I can delete the one on my desktop.
