Like a fool, i completely removed Quicktime 7 and Quicktime X from my mac ( i won't go into it ). Anyway, now i can't have either because i can't download QT7, and i can't find my SL disk to resinstall either of them. so....

Is there any decent alternative to QTP7? What i really need in the software, is the ability to playback videos & export them to different formats etc. I used QTP7 to convert my MKV files to mp4, so i could play them back on my ps3.

All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Oh and can someone please tell me, why the heck Apple will let you download QT7, but it can't be installed on Snow Leopard? And if they have any plans to be able to?
