I need a mixer for my podcast and went to a local music store to browse my options. I came across the Onyx 820i and was really impressed. I use Pro Tools for my recording, and the Onyx connects directly with Pro Tools without and Mbox (even though I have one). The sales guy also said the sound quality is much better than the Behringers. The problem is, the Onyx 820i costs $500 for an 8-channel, whereas the Behringer 16-channel costs half that.
The question is, is the Onyx worth the extra money or should I just go with less the costly Behringer?
