iMac 24 inch The Best
I have the iMac 24 inch OS X Intel Core 2 Duo and I want to upgrade it to the max :D. But i don't really want to take it apart. Im getting 2x 2GB Memory to insert in the slots, and a external DVD Drive as mine is broke :( (disappointment). I would like to know what does the HD do i watch a few vids with people upgrading them. Do i have to open my Mac or can I just use a external drive?

You can of course use an external hard drive. However, replacing the internal hard drive on an iMac requires disassembling the machine. (The entire display assembly must be removed.)

Not that difficult to do if you're somewhat handy with that sort of thing. Many good videos of how to do it are available on U-Tube and throughout the web.

Regards.
