I am looking to get some more space (1.5T) on my G5 Tower. A friend has had great success for his mac pro and suggested the Seagate Barracuda, but I just got on New Egg and read a brutal review. Anyone have anything to add/suggest? Here are my specs:

Power Mac G5
Machine Model: PowerMac7,3
CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (3.0)
Number Of CPUs: 2
CPU Speed: 2 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 1 GHz
Boot ROM Version: 5.2.4f1
Serial Number:

I bought from Best Buy the Seagate Barracuda 3.5" Internal Drive-SATA-1.5 TB-32 MB Cache-5900RPM but am just leery of installing it after the horror review.

Help!!

Seagate 7200

I did read a couple bad ones on the Seagate 7200, but the one I bought from Best Buy (and have yet to install) is the 5900. Does that make a difference?

I run 3 500 gig 'cudas in enclosures( they were in my old gammer box raid setup) for TM . CCC & Movies archive and They are great drives as far as I am concerned.

Hope this helps
